This one is Owl de los Muertos.  The concept for this guy started at work when my co-worker and I were discussing her new tattoo.  She said she was getting an owl and that it was for her mother.  This led into the fact that in many cultures owls have meanings.  I found out ancient Central Americans believed that the owl was a symbol of death and decided it would be cool to create a barn owl with Dia de los Muertos-esque makeup.  He turned out quite nice and I'm really enjoying this graphic style.  I would also like to include more Dia de los Muertos in my work.  This piece was made in Photoshop CS5 using the pen tool and is completely vector.
I just don't know what compels me to illustrate bad jokes.  So this one is my fault though cause of a typo I typed flash instead of flask and of course with my friends it ended up being The Flashing Flask.  Not sure what he is flashing you with, but it is still a good bit of fun.  He was made in Photoshop CS5 with the pen tool making him completely vector.
So as someone who lives in San Francisco I see a lot of bikes daily.  I enjoy riding in the city and have done everything from the valleys to climbing the steepest hill I can find.  The one thing I can't understand though is the use of fixie bikes in SF.  So on a play off words for fixing animals I made this piece showing a rear gear assembly for a bicycle.  The piece is 100% vector and was created in Photoshop CS5 with heavy reference.
So you know that bad joke you still laugh at for some reason...well this is that.  A friend said this was one of her best jokes and I just felt it needed to be a t-shirt, and here we are.  The design was done using Photoshop CS5 and is completely vector.
As an animator I just absolutely love classic cartoons and the techniques that created them.  After graduating from the Academy of Art University with my degree in 3D Animation I created this as preliminary of a tattoo I planned to get.  This would be my first tattoo and I feel represent myself very well.  The image was created using the pen tool in Photoshop CS5 and is completely vector.
Now more serious with my work on the drip girls I attempted to really push myself adding in shading and attempting to get that classic pin-up look.  I have to thank Liz Mayborne for helping me concept this idea over a conversation.  It turned out better than I could have hoped. It is titled "A Sundae with Cherry".  This work was made in Photoshop CS5.  I used a pen tool along with the brush tool to create my outlines which are raster.  All coloring is done with vector shapes using the pen tool.
I think this is the point where I went from viewing this as something I just enjoyed to something serious.  Not only did I add slight skin tone changes.  I also used lots of reference.  This is still one of my favorite drip girls. It is titled "Peace of You".  This was made using Photoshop CS5 and the brush tool.  It is a completely raster image.
